Sheikh Waseem Jappie
Imam, Masjid Al Falah
Sheikh Waseem Jappie, an Islamic scholar born in Cape Town, South Africa, completed his memorization of the Quran under the guidance of Sheikh Ebrahiem Floris. In 2003, he pursued religious studies at Darul Uloom al-Arabiyyah Islamiyyah under the late Mufti Taha Karan, specializing in Shafi’i Fiqh, Tafsir, and Hadith, and completing the program in 2008.
In 2013, Sheikh Waseem and his family moved to Australia, where he was appointed as the Imam of Mareeba and Cairns Mosque in North Queensland. During his seven and a half years there, he played a vital role in various outreach programs, fostering community engagement and Islamic education.
He later relocated to Perth WA, where he currently serves as the Imam of Masjid Al Falah in Wattle Grove WA and teaches at the Darul Uloom at Masjid Ebrahim, continuing his dedication to Islamic scholarship and community service.
